Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week Well, it seems that our decision to reschedule our trip to Bumbleberry Acres was a good one. Tuesday was a beautiful day and we had a great time. My apologies to the parents who joined us regarding our swift exit from the farm. Our bus driver gave us a "no later than 1:55" time for boarding the bus for our return. Unfortunately we were not able to comply which we felt badly about. Hopefully we will get another chance next year. Due to several circumstances the time was not quite enough for all groups to do all things. The parents saved the day by collecting and delivering pumpkins for all. It was a great place and now we know some things we can do from our end to help things go more smoothly.   Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week I am so sorry we had to postpone our trip to Bumbleberry Acres!! The children were such good sports about it and we still were able to have a fun Friday together. Sadly, I still do not have a new date for us. Believe me when I say that I have really tried. I hope to be able to give you all a date by tomorrow. They must be extremely busy. It is always fun seeing so many Brown School families at our Donuts with your Special Person event. It makes me smile to see all the chocolate faces that come through our classroom door in the morning. Thank you for taking the time to attend with your child. It creates sweet memories.   Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Last Week Our first Readers' Theater book, "My Family," came home with your child on Friday. Please listen to your child read this book over and over as he/she shows off this new skill. Find a place for your child to keep all of the books he/she can read. Many will be coming home as the year goes on. Now that the weather is more like fall, please be sure your child has adequate outdoor clothing each day. We go outside 3 times a day and we want all the children to be comfortable. Thank you. Snack and Leaders Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. We can not thank our parents enough for the generous giving to our PTO fund! The current total is $33,000.00!!! We are so grateful, as are the children.
