Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                                                             Last Week Even with a snow day, last week was busy! We finished our mid-year NWEA assessments, which always feels good. The children worked hard and did a good job of staying focused. You will get these results with T2 progress reports as I mentioned before. It feels great to see the growth since the beginning of the year. 😀 Due to a HUGE amount of Paws Tickets earned by our kindergartners, we had a great Pajama Day on Friday which included a Progressive Dance Party. We danced first in our classrooms, then went to Mrs. Lear's room and then to Ms. Sisk's room. It was big fun dancing but also to see the other classrooms. Mr. Rommel even joined us for a while. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. I hope you all stayed safe and warm through this first big snow storm of the year. Our long weekend became longer yet as the snow days continued to come. As far as we know, we will be going to school tomorrow (Thursday).  Last week we were given an age appropriate lesson on Safe Touch from the experts of the Children's Advocacy Center. Your child came home with a coloring book which gives parents the concepts and vocabulary used to teach this important subject.
