Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Announcements What a fun week it has been! Mileage Club on M, W and F has been great. The children are so happy to get their foot charms each day. The winning class gets to keep a traveling trophy in their classroom AND have an ice cream treat. 😋 For all who have submitted a volunteer sheet, the volunteer list for trips and parties was sent to you last week. Please let me know if you did not receive it or if your contact info is incorrect. Also, let me know if you can no longer help for an assigned event. Thank you for your willingness to help.   As I'm sure you heard, the SJHS Marching band came to perform for us during lunch recess. It was thrilling to see and hear them right in our playground! I love this time with the children and they get to show me what they know. It has been fun getting the hang of Table and Math Centers in our room. The children are making good choices and enjoying the experiences. Table centers reinforce skills from any of our cu...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                               Announcements It has been great getting to know routines and procedures better each day in our room and school. The children are fast learners and are doing well. What a great group I have!! We actually had our first All School Fire Drill on Thursday. I was pleased with how well the children took it seriously and followed directions. We will practice a Tornado Drill next week. We have been to each special and are comfortable with the process and teachers. Brown is blessed with wonderful teachers who love their specialty and pass that love on to the students. We have worked on the computers a few times and are beginning to get the hang of them. Logging in is difficult, but can be done with practice. All of the students were able to finish the Reading po...
