Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                                                 Last Week

Happiest of Mother's Days to all the mothers out there. I hope your families pampered you appropriately. What a beautiful day it has been too. 💙💛

My goodness, thank you all for the many gifts, flowers, pictures and notes during Teacher Appreciation Week!! I was certainly spoiled and felt very loved and appreciated. Please know that I appreciate all of you as well. 😊

We had a perfect day for our trip to Sarett Nature Center. Thank you to all the grown ups who joined us. We had an indoor session when we learned about several kinds of forest animals. The Naturalists did a nice job and we even saw several live animals that have been found on the Sarett property. We then separated into smaller groups for our hikes. Sarett is a beautiful place that is rich with different habitats and many knowledgeable people. Be sure to ask your child about the trip and have him/her tell you some new things learned at Sarett.

Thankfully, all our students were at school for our ELA NWEA test on Thursday. One down, one to go this Monday for the Math test. It always feels good to finish them for us all. The results will come home with progress reports mailed home the week after school is out.

Please remember to send in the finished April homework calendars for a trip to the treasure chest.

Last week was our last to check out library books. Please find and return all books by Tuesday.

Unfortunately our last couple of Mileage Club days were rained out. 😒 It is great that our PTO goes to the trouble of doing this for us in the spring too. It takes many volunteers and we appreciate the effort helping our students to prioritize exercise regularly.

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.
