 Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                                                 Last Week

Last week seemed to fly by! That always seems to be the case after spring break. We are enjoying our small reading groups during Daily 5 time. This time of year is so gratifying as I get to see the reading light bulbs go on. Please, please continue to read daily with your child. It is more important than I can emphasize.

Several students have been bringing books from home to read to the class. The reader and all of us love this time. We are so proud of our classmates and enjoy encouraging them. My only request is that the child practice the book at home until they have mastered it. The last thing I want is for a child to be embarrassed standing before the class unable to read it. All are welcome to bring a well-practiced book to school.

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.
