Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                         Last Week

The Christmas trees look beautiful in our hallway! All of Brown School enjoys seeing these each year. I'm happy to send home another copy if needed. Just let me know.🎄

November homework and Book-It calendars are welcome back for a trip to the treasure chest and Pizza Hut certificate. Reminder that your child's name must be on it as well as your signature. 

Snack and Leaders


Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.

Due to allergies, please refrain from sending snacks that contain any kind of nut. Thank you!

We will snack in the afternoon each day (our lunch time is 11:30). It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  Thank you for sending a leak-proof water bottle with your child each day.

Next Week Events

On Wednesday, December 13th we will make Gingerbread houses in our room. This is such a fun event! Please

send in the checked item on the note you received last Monday by tomorrow (so I can supplement if necessary).

Thank you to all the volunteers who agreed to help that day. This is definitely one of the days our kinders remember.


Friday, 12/15-Deck out in all your favorite holiday clothes. 🎄

We are grateful to Mrs. Francis, a science teacher at Upton Middle School for receiving a grant to purchase a pair of glasses for every student in SJ Schools. I think it is a memory our children will hold on to and enjoy retelling. I hope your child came home full of excitement and was able to tell you all about it. On Thursday your child came home with a bound book that he/she helped to illustrate and create.   Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                                                             Last Week Last week flew by! Ice skating was a blast from what I hear. I was so sorry to miss this great event. Mrs. Gideon took some good pictures and really enjoyed the day with your wonderful children. A huge thank you goes out to all the parents who came to help get skates on and tied, help with skating and then getting them off again. We just couldn't do fun things like this without the amazing support from all of you! It was fun welcoming Hudson into our class.
