Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                         Last Week

We had such fun singing before our Thanksgiving Feast. The feast was delicious too and we even had ice cream for dessert! A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers who came to serve us. We felt very loved and cared for ❤.

It has been so fun seeing our classmates disguised turkeys and time lines. Things like these help us to get to know each other more and more. I appreciate the time taken with your child doing these projects. They are so proud to share.

I will not send a blog next week so this will cover the next 2 as far as leader/snack and guest reader are concerned.

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.

Due to allergies, please refrain from sending snacks that contain any kind of nut. Thank you!

We will snack in the afternoon each day (our lunch time is 11:30). It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  Thank you for sending a leak-proof water bottle with your child each day.

‘Tis the Season … Share the Love.

Wonderland Toy Store is a special Christmas shopping experience designed to lend a hand to families who are struggling financially.  Qualifying parents are given the opportunity to shop for NEW toys and gift cards for their children at 90% off of retail value.  This is made possible because of donations from the community.  This year, our Student  Council is partnering with Wonderland so that our Brown families can experience the joy of giving!  Donation boxes will be set up around the school starting on Monday, Nov. 20th through Friday, December 1st.

Donations:  NEW items only.  New toys must be unwrapped, with price tags left on, and valued between $10 - $50.  Gift cards must be for Walmart or Meijer, and have the value identified in increments of 10, 25, or 50 dollars.  Monetary donations can be made by visiting www.mosaicccda.com and click “donate”, then click “Wonderland Toy Store”
